The Learning Lab
Established in 1987, The Learning Lab Academy and Tutoring Center is a fully accredited institution that offers academic courses, including a credit recovery program, and after-school tutoring in Math, English, Reading, Science & Social Studies. The Learning Lab also offers a wide array of test preparation programs, including ACT, SAT, GED and AIMs Test Prep.
Sometimes problems in school occur because of poor study and organization skills. The Learning Lab’s unique study skills program teaches strategies for successful learning, note-taking, studying for tests, managing daily work, using time wisely, listening effectively, reading productively and memorizing for quick recall.
The Learning Lab offers programs that help students build focus and concentration, which not only increases student performance, but also increases confidence. Diagnostic testing is also offered at The Learning Lab as a way to pinpoint the individual’s learning needs.
The Learning Lab also provides help for students who need another choice – children in 6th through 12th grade who need an alternative to traditional schooling. A full diploma program and accredited courses that are transferrable to other schools, are available.
The student/teacher ratio at The Learning Lab is 3 to 1.
