Apple and Geisco (Apple Link) assisted AlphaGraphics in tying all AlphaGraphics stores together in the first of a kind original document, “camera ready idea”, sharing network. Originals generated in one store could be communicated to another for reproduction. For example, originals generated in San Francisco were sent via the San Francisco teleport to Moscow for reproduction in the AlphaGraphics store on Gorky Street. AlphaLink established in 1987 preceded the internet and email as we know it today. AlphaLink ignited the AlphaGraphics expansion to 300+ locations in over 20 countries. Documents were transmitted into China and the Soviet Union without customs supervision and printed without government intervention.
